FDA Deadline On Hemp Ban Guidelines Today

Today, the FDA is supposed to release information on what consumable hemp products are supposed to look like when the rule (a sweeping ban on most, if not all intoxicating hemp products) goes into effect of November this year.

If this guidance is released today, I will update with my stance on their take as soon as I can read the guidance and respond.

According to Google AI, Congress is already discussing a 2 year delay on the sweeping ban set to take place in November, due to the economic impact.

To that, I have to say, obviously the best move as it will reduce tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thosuands of jobs, millions in tax revenue as well as millions in revenue generation for companies in the industry.

The people want legal cannabis, which should be the same exact, as the hemp industry is to this exact day of writing, not when the ban takes place in November.

I'm glad Mitch McConnel is not seeking re-election as this Hemp ban was tied into the shut down of the government last year.

Hemp shouldn't compete with cannabis, cannabis shouldn't compete with hemp.  It should all be one industry with individuals making the decision whether they consume hemp products or cannabis products... the odd thing is they both come from the same plant.

As I've always said, this is a personal freedoms thing and nothing less.  The children argument goes out the window when the parents should have had a more hands on approach.  Children get ahold of things, yes.  But things should be stored properly.  We have seen banning things does not remove it from the hands of those who wish to use something, it just literally stimulates a black market and leaves the actual issue un adressed.
