Will U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi Announce Finalization of Rescheduling At A Key House Committee Soon?

The exact Paragraph I'd like to respond to is the first one. In which they say Attorney General Pam Bondi will be appearing before a key House Committee, stating advocates hope she will be providing an update on the rescheduling process of cannabis.
My personal opinion take:
I think this could definitely have a big possibility, as DOJ is the final say in the rescheduling process from my understanding. It can't just be done with an executive order, like we've seen with President Trump directing those in charge to reschedule the plant. I do think President Trump would have taken the win in the EO if he could have. Which I don't blame him for, if it were possible, I would hope someone would use the EO to do just exactly that.
Attorney General Pam Bondi does hold the ability to write the final rule, which will definitely get push back, which is why I stated in a previous take that we will still have to fight for this to pass. We've seen many things from SAM, stating we have peer review studies, over 50 thousand of them. My stance is if this is the case, bring them to the table and have a conversation about the efficacy of those studies, because personally... I do believe there's some detriments, but those detriments don't even come close to those with Alcohol, Tobacco or other readily available products on the market.
I do think that those on the right are finally stepping back from using children as a scape goat, because at the end of the day, parents do need to take the role to parent their children, not the government. The reason I say this is, a child can go out and purchase many chemicals that smell good, and the advertising does look enticing to those if they don't grasp the idea that they are chemicals that can cause bodily harm. If we are going based on the idea that it's dangerous to children, household chemicals should not be able to advertise as a flavored scent. The issues they have raised are contradictory and we deserve to be able to debate this issue.
I also think fear mongering should be illegal, which has been seen in a LOT of the anti cannabis lobby.
Cannabis is probably not for everyone, but there's no way to tell for sure since there's so many things that go on within a persons body with genetic makeups, medications they take, how much caffeine they consume, how severe mental illnesses are etc etc.
Cannabis deserves to be DE-scheduled and not just rescheduled, but rescheduling is the right first step, and I hope this administration steps up and finalizes this rule.
The main thing I'm personally worried about is the head fo the DEA's take on cannabis, which is just "just say no". He's been very clear on that. However peoples views can change, and I hope his has/does.
At the end of the day it's about freedoms for adults to consume a plant to make their quality of life better.
Is there a potential for abuse? I think there is sadly. But there is with alcohol, benzodiazepines, muscle relaxers, opiates for pain, stimulants, amongst other things that are readily available.
Implement a system that monitors users (without going into personal privacy, a simple vitals check every six months, simple questions about how it affects them etc, just a first idea, open to ideas personally) to make sure it's not causing issues even. A simple doctor clearing someone for use in a recreational manner would also maintain a safe consumption process with which if it's causing health issues, they can stop the sale to said people if it's negative enough to cause potentially fatal issues (due to other reasons, correlation doesn't equal causation, we can also learn if cannabis directly causes issues in the long term similar to tobacco this way), we have yet to see any fatalities from cannabis.
