Schedule 3 before 2026!?
There have been many reports from many outlets, too many to list here that there was a meeting on Wednesday with many executives of cannabis companies. At the end of the meeting, according to at least one news outlet CNBC, Trump was prepared to act on rescheduling!
I don't want to get too excited as words are just words; and since it hasn't been said publicly directly from the President himself, it's hard to take what others say at face value.
I truly hope this is the case, and will obviously get 100% of my personal support.
Here's to hoping an executive order, ordering Attorney General Pam Bondi to reschedule cannabis to schedule 3 happens soon.
Personally, I don't think the legalization efforts are over until it's descheduled and regulated such as alcohol, or even less so, being a plant that's been used for thousands of years for medicinal, religious, and relaxation purposes.
This is not me saying going out and get high. This is me saying it has benefits and you should make an educated decision if you ever decide you wish to try it, as there is a huge caveat, this is NOT for everyone, and I do believe there is a potential for some people the risk outweigh the benefits. I believe it's worth bringing up with your doctor if you live in a legal state whether they think it's a safe product for you to use. I also believe if you live in a legal state and a doctor will not even entertain the idea and shrugs it off, if you can, it would be time to find a new doctor as you have the right to do so.
I'm not saying if they say it would be a bad idea for you to use personally to find a new doctor that will say it's okay, I'm saying if they won't even entertain the conversation in an open dialogue setting that gives their personal opinions on your personal situation, based upon the new information we have on this plant. There have been plenty of studies, and a doctor who stays up on this growing trend (majority of americans want it legal for a reason) would know at least a little bit about this stuff. I'm not saying they will know how much you can safely consume, but they should at least be willing to let you know if they think it will cause more detriment than good.

From personal perspective, if it's decided it would be okay for you to consume and you're new. Start low and slow. Seriously. If you start on edibles, find the smallest dosage available, and cut it into quarters. Wait 2 hours, if nothing, use another quarter. If nothing after 2 hours, wait until another day and take a half. If nothing in 2 hours, take another half. If still nothing, wait another day and keep following the same pattern until you feel a small effect, and base your tolerance, and reaction on that. You must also be in a clear mind when you try this as it can amplify issues in some cases. Especially if you overconsume. You need to treat this plant with respect and caution. Keep in mind, edibles stay in the system once digested completely for a longer period of time. This is why I suggest waiting days if nothing is felt after a second dosage.
If starting with flower, get the smallest % flower, and load a bowl (many videos online of how to do this) and take the smallest "hit" you can, literally light the corner the ground flower and see if you feel anything. The effects this way are normally close to instantaneously, but still wait 15-20 minutes after inhaling the first time before attemping the same amount again. The good thing with flower is how quickly the effects take effect and you can personally adjust more efficiently.

I am personally optimistic about this, and think it's good for America as a whole, economically, medically and for personal freedoms. Keep in mind, rescheduling DOES NOT LEGALIZE the plant. It recognizes it's use and normalizes the medical market.
We still need to see what happens if/when it's rescheduled on how they implement it as it could be a huge disruption bringing along pharmacies for this plant. Although I do see that as a possibility, I have to say, we see things like ketamine clinics and testosterone clinics, both being schedule 3 drugs; we may end up seeing things similar to this in the future, which would be better than pharmacies IMO.
I also fear they may have caveats such as no flower on inhalation devices allowed, which could affect a lot of things. Here's to hoping it happens, if it happens and we see restrictions such as those I listed above, I still think it's moving in the right direction, and soon-ish (hopefully by 2035) we will see descheduling if not federal legalization.
