Dispensaries Are Struggling Due To Lack Of Regulation

According to the article linked above, Minnesota is in the early stages of rolling out recreational cannabis and is having issues getting inventory to sell to consumers in the recreational market.

This highlights a reason that we need federal regulation, ASAP.  These businesses pay the fees to get licnenses, storefronts, retrofit the storefronts for what they need with security and any other requirements, which they have to pay for.  Only to run into the issue of not being able to get inventory.

If we would have federal landscape for cannabis this wouldn't be an issue if interstate commerce is allowed, with which will let this whole industry flourish and eventually, the best products will win out the market by being the market leaders.

If this company were able to purchase cannabis from other states that have legal programs, but currently cannot due to outdated and honestly... stupid laws that prevent crossing statelines with cannabis this would not be an issue for them.  They wouldn't have to worry about shutting their doors due to the lack of infrastructure provided while rolling out legalization.

At the end of the day, legalization is good.  It protects consumers, but the fact that these businesses can pay fees, pay to retrofit and get a place to operate out of and go out of business before being able to sell is somewhat ... cruel.

Imagine someone takes their life savings to start a business, get ready to go with permits, retrofiting, and security requirements due to cash only businesses and other restrictions only to lose it all because the state cannot get them the product they need to sell.

Yes this is a temporary problem, but it's a problem that needs addressed due to potentially bankrupting people in the process of starting a business.

It's time for descheduled cannabis.
